We all have our favorite ways of knitting. Some people concentrate on the knitting only. Other like to watch TV or movies while they knit. Sometimes they combine knitting and reading (I do that for homework.). It is already know that I am a big Lord of the Rings/Knitting fan.
But if you’re looking for something to watch right now while you knit (because you can’t knit when your hand is on your mouse.), might I suggest the Lizzie Bennet Diaries.
Freakin’. Lizzie Bennet Diaries.
It’s a modern adaptation of Pride and Prejudice in Video Blog form (I know the picture is a cartoon. It’s not a cartoon. That’s just there because I can’t get the video to work). So it’s available to everyone on Youtube. Let me just say that I am not usually a fan of modern Pride and Prejudice adaptations. But this one is amazing. The adaptations it makes to modernize the story are thoughtfully done and (i think) spot on. I feel like it captures the spirit of the characters so well. You really get a sense of Lizzie and her exaggeration for comedy’s sake and Lydia is believable without being incredibly annoying. Also, cute guys galore! So many cute guys…
If you’re a fan of Pride and Prejudice, or if you never really could get into reading it, I really recommend this video series. It’s still going on, so the story is right at the juicy part. I’m only slightly obsessed with it. Okay, a lot obsessed!
